Description

In and Out Precept Study –Kings & Prophets Parts 4-8

Wednesdays / 6:30-8:00 PM / September 10, 2025–April 1, 2026 / FC204

This is a one-year study covering the minor prophets, Obadiah, Joel, Jonah, Amos, Hosea, along with 2 Kings 15-20 and 2 Chronicles 26-32.

Obadiah, Joel, Jonah and Amos were all minor prophets who had messages for the people of their times. Through their messages, we will learn how be prepared to meet our God, learn more about God’s never changing character and have our hearts stirred to proclaim the warning about coming judgement with hope for those that will listen.

As we move back to 2 Kings & 2 Chronicles, Israel’s kings continue their spiritual decline begun by Jeroboam. We’ll watch God raise up a Gentile threat (Assyria) in judgement against Israel. We will complete the year with Hosea, who was the last prophet to the Northern Kingdom of Israel before they were taken captive to Assyria.

Through this study, we will learn how God deals with those who turn away from Him and about how he calls us back to a love that will not let us go.

Homework: 1-3 hours per week

Cost: $35

Childcare available (see below).
