Wednesday Morning Study
WOW - Women of Wisdom: Job and James
Wednesdays / 9:30-11:45 AM / September 14 - April 26 / The Lodge
But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. Job 23:10
W.O.W. (Women of Wisdom) is sound Bible study, aimed directly at Biblical literacy. Join us as we learn answers to important questions like, “Why do bad things happen to Godly people?” “What are we supposed to do about our suffering?” Everyone has likely suffered or grieved deeply at some time in life, and the book of Job is heavy enough to bring it front and center, while addressing the darkest mystery of human life: the “why?” behind it all. Whether we learn from the wrong behavior of some of Job’s “friends” or from his own perseverance, we are sure to learn lessons God’s Word provides in a book that can’t be skipped. Once we come out of the depths of Job, we will happily land on the practical advice of the New Testament book of James, as we learn to, “Consider it joy…”. In addition, there will be bonus lectures and special topics throughout the year to round out our walk as “women of wisdom.”
Daily lessons for personal study begin the excavation of the depth of God’s Word. Weekly small group discussion followed by worship in song and large group lecture allow iron to sharpen iron as we spend our Wednesday mornings together. Fellowship with these ladies is sure to lead to Godly friendships!
For those where distance or health prevents attendance, we would love to invite you to our virtual group via Zoom. Email WOWTerriBrady@gmail.com for more information.
